The CIU sends greetings to Muslims in the United States and around the world as you observe the holy month of Ramadan.

Yours is a monotheistic faith that is practiced by more than one billion people, (including millions of American Muslims), who contribute to diversity and creativity the world over.

As you engage in a month of fasting, prayer, contemplation, and community service, we honor your focus on caring for those in need, serving the larger community, and strengthening family and community ties at this time. These actions reflect many of the values that Muslims share with people of other faiths across our nation and around the world, including courage, compassion, and service.

During this season of reverence and examination, we reach out our hands in friendship and wish to continue to work together for a future of peace, tolerance, and understanding among all religions.
